Best restaurants and steakhouses in Amman
Dinner at the restaurant is an unforgettable day of the week. It is the day when we spend time with our good friends and family to relax and have fun, so we must make it an unforgettable day by choosing the right comfortable place to attend.
Here is a list of the best restaurants and steakhouses in Amman where you will like to spend the evening:
It was created by Flavia Romero, 1979, daughter of Dr. Fausto Tesio, the Italian doctor who established the Italian Hospital in Amman in 1921.
In 1988, the legacy created by Romero was handed over to Mr. Zaid Goussous, whose passion and love for fine dining continues to guide his inspiration today.
The menu draws on homemade Italian recipes to include flavors from each of the country’s provinces. Goussous had managed to maintain a little piece of Italy in the heart of our beloved Amman with its enchanting ambience and tasty cuisine and the finest and most original liquors.
The menu is amazing, but I recommend to try the mixed seafood platter “Grigliata Misa Di Mare” is made with very special delicious subs, the whole steak dish is an excellent choice, because for dessert there is has the signature mille-feuille apple pie with platter ice cream.
The atmosphere is extremely cozy with a beautiful setting and Italian and international romantic music.
Prices are above average to high, but worth it.
2. The “Restaurant & Bar” Lounge
It is one of the restaurants of the Romero group, established in 2003, it gives you that cozy and intimate feeling, leaving you convinced that this is the best way to spend the evening.
It is located above the Romero restaurant, a new approach to casual dining and a relaxed atmosphere. It offers a wide range of international dishes, from burgers and ribs to sushi.
The variety on the menu is great. I recommend the Flat Iron steak dish. It’s excellent, and the ribs are delicious.
The indoor seating is wonderful, but the outdoor seating in the summer is excellent. As for the prices, it’s average.
3. Cattleman Joe’s
Established in 2016, it gives you an authentic Western Steakhouse, Bar & Grill experience, and it’s a great experience too. It serves the best meats in town and it’s my go-to restaurant in Jordan.
They have a wide variety of starters and the signature prime ribs are mouth-watering. Plus, the steaks and brisket burger are heaven on earth, and their original Mexican menu and dessert menu outstanding.
You’ll feel like you’re sitting in the Wild West with the waiters wearing cowboy uniforms and the western newspaper menu. Prices range from moderate to high depending on what you order.
4. Cantaloupe Gastro Pub
A self-proclaimed gastropub, this lounge restaurant is a nice quiet place to relax. Although you can eat inside, the treat here is the rooftop terrace, with stunning views of downtown Amman; even in winter you can sit outside and stay warm because the place is heated.
The menu is mostly international (the steaks are quite superb), the wine list is extensive, and the theme music is soft jazz.
5. Brazilian Copacabana Steak House
Created in 2008, Copacabana received the award second best brazilian steak house in the world; located in our pleasant city of Amman in Jordan – in this restaurant you can taste “All You Can Eat” of their 20 different cuts of meat, chicken and cheese. Slow roasted over an open flame to capture their flavor.
All you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy Brazil’s truly unique atmosphere. The music is purely Brazilian, the service is great, the prices are mid to high and they don’t serve alcohol.
6. Lucca Steakhouse
Lucca Steak House is an upscale restaurant, classified as a casual table service place; their concept is to serve the best cuts of beef in Jordan. The very idea of opening Lucca was to have a great atmosphere combined with the best taste and quality with friendly service.
Pleasant atmosphere, good food, pleasant and welcoming staff. It is considered one of the best steakhouses in Amman.
The indoor seating area is pleasant and non-smoking. The exterior is excellent and heated in the winter. It is a smoking area. There is a VIP room made for private lunch or dinner and meetings, access from inside and outside.
They have a small menu but still really delicious and a minimal dessert menu, but it’s nice; prices are average.
7. Chestnut Pub
Located in the charming corners of Jabal Amman, Chestnut was born to fill a much needed gap in the Jordanian market for gourmet meals served in a friendly and relaxed pub atmosphere.
It has a large menu of varied and complete delicious dishes that caters to all tastes; the drinks and dessert menu are also amazing, the service is excellent and the staff are more than friendly. The music and atmosphere are cheerful, and the prices are average, especially since they have a Happy Hour every day from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. that they give you a 50% discount on your bill.
8. Bonita Hostel
When you Enter Bonita’s restaurant, you enter the family dining room of a warm and cozy Spanish casa.

Located in one of the nicest areas of Um Uthaina, they have excellent outdoor garden seating. The indoor seating is also wonderful for you to host special events or business meetings.
One of the most remarkable things I tasted there is Knafeh; without exaggeration, they make the most delicious Kunafeh in Amman.

In 2018, an expansion was made in Jordan when the descendants of the late Antoinette Rami decided to open for the 40th anniversary of her restaurant, a new branch in Jabal Amman with a brand facelift and a new image that reflects the tradition of in a very modern way. .
Additionally, a new concept for Um Khalil as a cafe named Kahwet Um Khalil has opened on the top floor of the new Um Khalil branch in Jabal Amman where people can find the perfect combination of mouth-watering Lebanese dishes with a twist. in addition to an incredible setup and see.
With all this, of course, they offer a terrific menu of oriental dishes, combined with a friendly and extraordinary atmosphere and good service; also, they serve alcohol. Prices are medium to high.
