MADRID: Karim Benzema has said he would one day like to play alongside his French attacking partner Kylian Mbappe for Real Madrid and has spoken of his joy at winning a trophy with his country after six years away from the team.

Benzema scored four goals in France’s four matches at Euro 2020 before being knocked out in the round of 16 by Switzerland, but spoke of his pride in the Nations League triumph.
“It means a lot to me. It’s my first trophy with my national team and I’m so proud of all the work I’ve done after six years without playing for my country,” added Benzema, who scored nine goals. for Real in eight. La Liga games this season.
